Information collected

Like most websites, ours uses cookies to passively and automatically collect and track various information, including home server domain names, computer type, and browser type. You can turn off passive tracking of your onsite behavior by disabling cookies in your web browser.

We also actively collect any information that site users voluntarily share via onsite forms, including email addresses, names, and blog comments. Blog comments and newsletter signup information is discarded within 30 days whenever you delete a blog comment or unsubscribe from one of our mailing lists. Content submitted via forms (e.g., testimonials, requests for blog topics, etc.) is not shared publicly without your permission in the form itself. Content submitted via forms is not shared with third parties without your written consent.

We currently use Mailchimp to manage our email newsletters. We believe Mailchimp’s security protections are excellent.

Right to contact users

If you give us permission to email you, we may occasionally send you news and information. If you would rather not receive these emails, please use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email or contact us.

Indemnification

You agree to hold harmless and indemnify us in the event of a malicious or accidental data breach that would expose to third parties your email address or any other information you voluntarily share via an onsite form.

Amazon Services LLC Associates Program

Experimentally, this website participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. This means that whenever you click on the name of a book on this website, and then buy said book from Amazon, we receive a small percentage of that book’s price. Any nominal proceeds we receive through this program go directly into maintaining and improving the site. If you do not wish to support Amazon for any reason, we encourage you to check out these books from the library, or purchase them from other sellers.
